Coronavirus COVID-19 Preparedness
The health and safety of our patients and staff is always our top priority. At this time there have been no known cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at The Gait Center. We feel very fortunate, and know that it is because of the diligence of our staff and patients following all safety protocols.
We understand the importance of providing continuum of care for patients, from initial evaluation to discharge without interruption. We will be keeping The Gait Center open to patients, but with the restrictions listed below for both patients and employees. This is in keeping with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and other state/local health recommendations. The following screening questions will be asked of all patients scheduling by phone and upon entering. Answering “Yes” to the following questions will require the recommended 14-day quarantine period before returning to our clinic:

Lobby Restrictions:Please do not bring additional people inside to your appointment. Please ask drivers, family, and/or friends to wait in their vehicle. We will not be allowing any visitors to wait in the lobby. Upon special request, caregivers are allowed to assist patients into the building, and may attend the therapy appointment as needed.

This will allow us time to usher all other patients out of the building, minimizing the number of people you come in contact with….as well as, allow us time to clean and fully sanitize all areas in-between patients.
